Saung Angklung Udjo

Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU) adalah suatu tempat workshop kebudayaan, yang merupakan tempat pertunjukan, pusat kerajinan tangan dari bambu, dan workshop instrumen musik daribambu. Selain itu, SAU mempunyai tujuan sebagai laboratorium kependidikan dan pusat belajar untuk memelihara kebudayaan Sunda dan khususnya angklung.

Didirikan pada tahun 1966 oleh Udjo Ngalagena dan istrinya Uum Sumiati, dengan maksud untuk melestarikan dan memelihara seni dan kebudayaan tradisional Sunda. Berlokasi di Jln. Padasuka 118, Bandung Timur Jawa Barat Indonesia.
Dengan suasana tempat yang segar udaranya dan dikelilingi oleh pohon-pohon bambu, darikerajinan bambu dan interior bambu sampai alat musik bambu.
Disamping pertunjukan rutin setiap sore, Saung Angklung Udjo telah berkali-kali mengadakan pertunjukan khusus yang dilakukan pada pagi atau siang hari. Pertunjukkan tersebut tidak terbatas diadakan di lokasi Saung Angklung Udjo saja, tetapi berbagai undangan tampil di berbagai tempat baik di dalam maupun di luar negeri, pada bulan Agustus tahun 2000 di Sasana Budaya Ganesha ITB, Bandung, Saung Angklung Udjo mengadakan konser kolaborasi dengan penyanyi cilik yang dijuluki Shirley Temple-nya Indonesia, yaitu Sherina.
Saung Angklung Udjo tidak terbatas pada hanya menjual seni pertunjukan saja, berbagai produk alat musik bambu tradisional (angklung,arumbacalung dan lainnya) dibuat dan dijual kepada para pembeli.

Museum of The Asian-African Conference

The Asian-African Conference which was held on 18th to 24th April 1955 in Bandung gained a big success both in formulating common concerns and in preparing operational guidance for cooperation among Asian African Nation as well as in creating world order and world peace. The conference has had a result Dasasila Bandung, which became the guideline for the colonized countries in fighting for their independence. It also became the fundamental principles in promoting world peace and international cooperation. The success of the conference was not only for the time being but also for the time after so that the soul and spirit of the Asian-African Conference becomes one of the most important factor that deciding world history.
All is a huge prestige that gained by the Asian African Nations. The spirit of Bandung had succeeded in widening the work volume among Asian African Nations. As a consequence, their influence and their role in international cooperation are increased and more respected.
In order to maintain those mentions above, it is important if the Asian-African Conference with its event is maintained eternally in a museum where the conference was held, Gedung Merdeka, Bandung, a city that is considered as a capital city and a source of inspiration for the Asian-African Nations.
As a Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja, S.H., LL.M., often met and got involved in some discussions with some of the Asian African Leaders. They frequently asked him about Gedung Merdeka and City of Bandung, which was the venue of the Asian-African Conference. The discussions were always ended with their wishes to be able to visit Bandung and Gedung Merdeka.
Inspired by desires to eternalize the Asian-African Conference, the idea of establishing a Museum of the Asian-African Conference in Gedung Merdeka was born by Prof. Dr. Mochtar Kusumaatmadja, S.H., LL.M.. The idea was delivered in the meeting of the Committee for the Commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the Asian-African Conference (1980), which was attended by Directorate General of Culture, Prof. Dr. Haryati Soebadio as a representative for the Department of Culture and Education. Fortunately, the idea was fully supported including President of the Republic of Indonesia, Soeharto

The idea of establishing the Museum of the Asian-African Conference had been materialized by Joop Ave, the Executive Chairman of the Committee of the 25th Anniversary of the Asian-African Conference and Director General of Protocol and Consular in the Department of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with Department of Information, Department of Education and Culture, the Provincial Government of West Java, and Padjadjaran University. The technical planning and its execution was carried out by PT Decenta, Bandung.

FACILITIES

PERMANENT EXHIBITION ROOM
Museum of the Asian-African Conference has a permanent exhibition room, which exhibits collections of three-dimension objects and documentary photos of Tugu Meeting, Colombo Conference, and Asian-African Conference 1955.
The exhibition room also provides:
- the historical events that become the historical background of the Asian- African Conference;
- the effect of the Asian-African Conference to the world;
- Gedung Merdeka from time to time;
- Profile of the participant countries of the Asian-African Conference that are performed in the multimedia.

In order to welcome the Delegates of the Tenth Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in 1992 in which Indonesia had been chosen as the host of the conference and became the Leader of the Non-Aligned Movement, the diorama describing the Opening Session of the Asian-African Conference was made.

Renovation of the Permanent Exhibition Room “The History of the Asian African Conference 1955” 

In the framework of the Asian-African Summit 2005 and the 50th Anniversary of the Asian-African Conference on 22 - 24 April 2005, initiated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. N. Hassan Wirajuda, the display of the exhibition room at the Museum of the Asian-African Conference was renovated. The renovation was materialized through the cooperation among Department of Foreign Affairs, Secretariat of State, and Provincial Government of West Java. The planning and the execution were carried out by Vico Design and Wika Realty.

Department of Foreign Affairs RI has a plan to develop the Museum of the Asian African Conference as a symbol of cooperation between two regions and develop it as a study center, the archive center, and documentation center. One of its efforts is by making some permanent exhibition rooms that perform some pictures and three dimension objects concerning the New Asian African Strategic Partnership / NAASP also some materials that describe the culture of both regions.
The establishment of the museum is planned to be real in April 2008l 2008, on the 3rd Anniversary of the Asian African Summit.

LIBRARYThe library provides many books on history, social, politic, and culture of the Asian African Countries and others; documents of the Asian-African Conference and its preliminary conferences; magazines and newspapers donated from other institutions or gained by purchase.

Along with the extension of the permanent exhibition rooms on April 2008, the library will also be developed as an Asian African Library Center which its process will be started in 2007. it is hoped that the library will be the main source of information about those two regions that provide some facilities such as wifi zone, bookshop café, digitall library and audio visual library.

    As well as the library, the audio visual was built in 1985. the presence of this museum is also inspired by Abdullah Kamil.
    The room is applied to perform documentary films on world condition until 1950s, Asian-African Conference and its preliminary conferences, and films about the social, politic, and culture condition of the Asian-African Countries.

Geological Museum


Geology Museum was established on May 16, 1928. This museum has been renovated with donations from JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). After undergoing renovations,the Museum of Geology reopened and inaugurated by the Vice President, Megawati Sukarnoputri on August 23, 2000. As one of the historic monuments, museums are under governmentprotection and is a national heritage. In this museum, are storedand managed geological materials are abundant, such as fossils,rocks, minerals. All of them were collected during fieldwork inIndonesia since 1850.



First Floor

Divided into 3 main rooms: Space orientation in the middle, RoomWest Wing and East Wing Room. Orientation Room contains ageographical map of Indonesia in the form of relief the big screenthat shows the geology and museum activities in the form ofanimation, room service and room service information on the museum's education and research. Meanwhile, the West WingRoom, known as the Room of Geology of Indonesia, whichconsists of several chambers which provide information about:
The hypothesis of the Earth in the solar system.
Regional tectonic setting that make up Indonesia's geological;diujudkan in the form of miniature model skin movement of the plates active earth
Sumatran geological circumstances, Java, Sulawesi, Maluku andNusa Tenggara and Irian Jaya

Second Floor 
Divided into 3 main rooms: the west room, living room and a room east West room (used by museum staff) While the space center and the east room on the second floor that is used to display known as a geological space for human life. Living Room Contains mockups of the world's largest gold mine, located in the Middle Mountains of Irian Jaya. Gransberg open pit which has reserves of about 1.186 billion tons, with copper content of 1.02%, 1.19 grams gold / ton and silver 3 grams / ton.Combined several open pit and underground mines active in the surrounding areas provide ore reserves of 2.5 billion tons.Former Ertsberg Mine (Ore Mountains) in the southeast of the Grasberg which closed in 1988 is a geological and mining sites that can be exploited and developed into an attractive object geowisata. Some rock specimens from Irian Jaya (Papua) and terpamer arranged in glass cabinets around the models.Miniature tower of oil and gas drilling are also exhibited here. East Room Divided into 7 small rooms, all of which provide information about positive and negative aspects of geology tataan for human life, especially in Indonesia. Room 1 presents information about the benefits and usefulness of mineral or stone for humans, as well as drawing panel mineral resource distribution in Indonesia. Room 2 features a recording of the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources Room 3 contains information about the use of minerals in everyday life, both traditional and modern. Room 4 shows how the processing and management of mineral and energy commodities Room 5 presents information on various types of geological hazards (negative aspects) such as land longksor, letusas volcano and so forth. Room 6 presents information about the positive aspects of geology mainly deals with the symptoms kegunungapian. Room 7 explains about water resources and their utilization, as well as environmental influences on the sustainability of the resource.

GMF AeroAsia is an international company that employs 2,500 employees based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It services airplanes of many types and is the largest aircraft maintenance facility in Asia.

Facilities
Located at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, they comprise 480,000 m2 of built-up structures, including three hangars, a spares warehouse, workshops, utility buildings, ground support equipment building, chemical stores, engine test cell and management offices. In addition, GMF AeroAsia has an apron capable of handling up to 50 aircraft, taxiways, a run-up bay and a waste treatment area taking up a 1,150,000 m2 area.
Hangar 1 was built in 1991 designed for Boeing 747s, has two full docks and is 22,000 m2. Hangar 2 is 23,000 m2 and has 3 aircraft bays. It can perform minor A and B checks. It can hold up to one narrow body and one wide body jet. Hangar 3 is 23,000 m2. It normally holds up to 3 narrow body aircraft, but can be reconfigured to hold up to one wide body and one narrowbody. It has 7 bays with 4 full docks. It has 6 roof-mounted cranes and has one bay designed for MD11's, DC10's, and wide Airbus aircraft.
AeroAsia also provides certain assets of OEMs, located in a customs bonded area at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Customers can get anything from this storage warehouse with a computerized system. It uses this warehouse to provide asset management, inventory assistance, management services and trading aircraft parts.
